Introducing Sarah Joy Burney

Today was our 19 week ultrasound appointment to find out if we were having a boy or girl, and we are having a girl! With only a short amount of discussion we decided we both liked the name Sarah Joy. Hannah seems really excited that she is going to have a baby sister. Here are some of the ultrasound pictures:

We're Expecting Baby #2 !!!!!!!!!

For anyone who hasn't heard we are expecting baby #2. We had a 12 week appointment today and got to hear the heart beat. The projected due date right now is Christmas Day, so we will have a pretty crazy Christmas. Here are some ultrasound pictures from our 8 week appointment.

Here is a blurb from babycenter about the baby's development at 12 Weeks:

"The most dramatic development this week: Reflexes. Your baby's fingers will soon begin to open and close, his toes will curl, his eye muscles will clench, and his mouth will make sucking movements. In fact, if you prod your abdomen, your baby will squirm in response, although you won't be able to feel it. His intestines, which have grown so fast that they protrude into the umbilical cord, will start to move into his abdominal cavity about now, and his kidneys will begin excreting urine into his bladder. From crown to rump, your baby-to-be is just over two inches long (about the size of a lime) and weighs half an ounce."

Hannah's First Circus!

We took Hannah to her first circus last night.  She loved seeing the zebras, horses, tigers, and dogs do their tricks (Mommy and Daddy did too!).  Her favorite animals were the elephants.   Everytime they walked away and there were no other animals to watch, she kept saying "elephant, elephant!" The entertainment kept her attention the entire time-unfortunately this isn't the case when we take her to Carolina games (the last game she attended was the UNC-State basketball game with Daddy and Uncle Brian).  The circus was Hannah's early Valentine's present from Mommy and Daddy this year-I'm glad she had a good time.  She is still talking about the animals today.  Hope everyone has a great Valentine's weekend!
